Austin!

I just spent an amazing weekend in the beautiful city of Austin, Tx.  Bluebonnets were blooming and the weather was perfect!

I was in town for Myra’s wedding. Myra is my best friend from college – we met our freshman year and she asked me to be the Maid of Honor at her wedding. Thankfully, she’s amazing and picked a beautiful slate dress from Amsale and Texas Orange platform heels for me to wear. The wedding was held at Thurman’s Mansion and catered by Salt Lick BBQ. It was a beautiful wedding, to say the least!

After the wedding, we went out on the town and enjoyed Sixth St! Austin is such a beautiful city with so much to do and I absolutely can’t wait to visit again!

Film Movement

Recently, I signed up for Film Movement’s DVD of the Month Club. ”Film Movement supplies its members with monthly cinematic masterpieces chosen from its vast catalog of award-winning independent and foreign films. The staff travels around the world to handpick the choicest films from major film festivals including Cannes, Sundance, and Tribeca, and doles them out for members to view before the general public.” I am super excited to watch these movies and share them with you guys as I receive them. Stay tuned!

Floral Galore!

I absolutely adore the floral print pants that are a blooming trend for this spring! Whether the prints are big or small, on denim or trousers, in brights or pastels, I love that they can be worn in many different ways! Check out how some of my favorite bloggers are rocking this amazing trend! The looks are so flirty, feminine, and fun!

Doctor Zhivago

Two years ago I made a list that included 20 or so films that have continually inspired the fashion industry.  I have been slowly making my way down this list, recently watching Doctor Zhivago.  The movie, released in 1965 and set in Russia during the Bolshevik Revolution, is set against a white snow and ice background that has me thankful for our mild NYC winter and looking forward to Spring.  Below is a montage of my favorite images taken from the film.
